GREAT DAY AT THE CASINO!!!!!!!

I'VE MENTIONED BEFORE THAT I LOVE GOING TO THE CASINO (NO I'M NOT ADDICTED) JUST FEEL LIKE TOSSING MY MONEY AWAY SOME DAYS, IT'S FUN FOR ME, WELL ANYWAY TONIGHT I WON $280.00 ON A 2 CENT MACHINE. WOO HOO FOR ME, EASTER DINNER IS LOOKING GOOD NOW! A FEW EXTRA TREATS OR SWEETS. THE WEATHER HERE IN MINNESOTA IS AMAZING, NO ONE CAN BELIEVE WE HAVE OVER 70 DEGREES AT THE END OF MARCH, DOESN'T HAPPEN VERY OFTEN AROUND HERE. WE WILL HAVE THE USUAL HERE, HAM MASHED POTATOES, CANDIED SWEET POTATOES, SOME KIND OF FRUIT SALAD AND A VEGGIE, AND OF COARSE LOT'S OF  WAY OVER CALORIE DESSERTS. IT'S THE MINNESOTA WAY. EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND AND ENJOY THE WONDERFUL WEATHER.

NOT READY TO GIVE UP!

I WAS THINKING OF GIVING UP ON MY ONLINE  BUSINESS BUT DECIDED I HAVE TOO MUCH INVESTED IN IT. (gardeningwithmolly.com) TO START WITH I WENT TO A SEMINAR ON STARTING YOUR OWN ONLINE BUSINESS, WELL IF YOU REALLY KNEW HOW HARD IT IS FOR SOMEONE WHO ISN'T GREAT IN BUILDING A WEB SITE I THINK I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT TWICE ABOUT STARTING. THE ONE THING I CAN SAY IS I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH NOW I THINK I COULD DO ANOTHER ONE.  IT TAKES SO MUCH TIME AND IT'S NOT CHEAP! WELL I AM GETTING THERE AND GETTING SOME OF THE KINKS OUT. STOP AND TOUR MY STORE, IT ISN'T QUITE DONE YET BUT IT'S OPEN. HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

MY BORED HUSBAND

Well the old boys 50 Ford is now finished, so he has nothing to do. On these days I wish I could interest him in cooking. He insists he needs to eat(can you imagine that?) I love to bake really fattening food, but you can't really live on that (or can you?) I can find things to do just going on the computer, between my business on line and Farmville, Farmtown, My Diner, on facebook, twitter, and of coarse my games, it's easy to spend many hours on line. I think I will have to find him another project that keeps him out in the garage, because he is very hard of hearing and it gets really noisy here with the tv on. I did get out to gamble last week, came home with $20.00. Better than nothing I guess, can't wait to go again. Watched the Oscars and my two favorites won, Jeff and Sandra, so very happy for them, they deserved an Oscar. Time to think about cooking so until next time. Be Safe!

I AM TRYING TO FIND MORE SUBJECTS TO WRITE ABOUT ON MY BLOG. NOT MUCH GOING ON AROUND HERE IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER, SO I WILL TELL YOU ABOUT A COUPLE OF THINGS I ENJOY. FIRST OF ALL I AM A HUGE FAN OF BULL RIDING, THE PBR (PROF BULL RIDERS) I NEVER MISS ONE IF I CAN HELP IT, NOW I DO NOT KNOW ONE PERSON WHO LIKES THIS SPORT SO I'M ON MY OWN. IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE THAT IS A FAN I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU. ANOTHER ONE OF MY LOVES IS CASINO GAMBLING, LOVE THE SLOTS IN ANY DENOMINATION. I CAN'T GO VERY OFTEN BECAUSE OF THE MONEY PART BUT GO WHENEVER I CAN. SO I WILL BE GOING THIS NEXT WEEK AND HOPE TO WIN ENOUGH TO STAY PLAYING FOR A WHILE. MY HUSBAND IS NOT A BIG FAN OF GAMBLING SO I WILL GO WITH MY SISTER, SHE'S JUST AS CRAZY AS I AM ABOUT CASINOS. MAYBE MY NEXT POST WILL BE ABOUT WINNING MY FORTUNE HA HA! SO WISH ME LUCK!

IT'S NOT TOO EARLY

AS WE ALL LOOK OUT THE WINDOW, THE LAST THING YOU CAN SEE IS FLOWERS GROWING OUT THERE. ALMOST EVERY STATE THIS WINTER HAS SNOW OR HAD SNOW.
BUT, IN A COUPLE MONTHS WE CAN THINK OF PLANTING FLOWERS OR VEGGIES OR MAYBE EVEN A FRUIT TREE. I AM GOING TO PLANT A PEAR TREE, YES EVEN HERE IN MINNESOTA THERE ARE PEAR TREES THAT GROW HERE. IN FACT IF YOU GO TO MY STORE,gardeningwithmolly.com  YOU WILL FIND MANY PLANTS FLOWERS, TREES IN FULL COLOR TO LOOK AT AND THINK ABOUT WARM WEATHER, I ALSO HAVE GARDEN FURNITURE, WITH MANY ITEMS ON SALE NOW. SO LET'S GET TO DREAMING ABOUT THE NEXT SEASON IT WILL COME I PROMISE.

DEADLIEST CATCH

MY HUSBAND AND I SAID, WHY ARE PEOPLE SO INTERESTED IN ALL THESE REALITY SHOWS? WELL WE FOUND OUT SOME OF THEM ARE VERY GOOD, THE DEADLIEST CATCH HAS BEEN ONE OF OUR FAVORITES, YOU GET TO KNOW THE FISHERMEN ON THE SHOWS LIKE PART OF YOU'RE LONG LOST RELATIVES. THAT'S HOW WE THOUGHT OF PHIL HARRIS ON THE CORNELIA MARIE, THE BOAT HE LOVED AND FISHED ON WITH HIS TWO SONS. SADLY TO SAY, PHIL PASSED ON FROM A HEART PROBLEM AND AFTER SURGERY. I KNOW WE WILL MISS HIM VERY MUCH. THE NEXT  SEASON WITHOUT HIM WILL NOT BE THE SAME. GOD BLESS HIS FAMILY AND EVERYONE THAT LOVED HIM.

BONNY HUNT VS THE VIEW

I LOVE TALK SHOWS, MY FAVORITES ARE THE ELLEN SHOW AND NEXT THE BONNY HUNT SHOW, FOR LATE NIGHT I LOVE CRAIG FERGUSON. TODAY ON BONNY SHE SAID HER CONTRACT IS UP IN MAY. I REALLY HOPE THEY RENEW HER CONTRACT, SHE IS SO REFRESHING AND REAL, LIKE ELLEN AND OPRAH. IT IS DEFINITLY A GREAT FAMILY SHOW, AND SHE IS SO FUNNY! I DON'T WATCH THE VIEW BECAUSE THEY ARE SO LOUD AND COMPETETIVE, SOMETIMES YOU CAN'T TELL WHATS GOING ON AT ALL. BONNY HAS A VERY NICE VARIETY OF GUESTS. ALL I CAN SAY IS KEEP HER ON. EVERYONE SHOULD CHECK HER SHOW OUT AND SEE HOW GREAT IT IS. WELL ANYHOW THAT'S MY OPINION AND I'M STICKEN TO IT!!!!!!

RAIN IN THE WINTER

Here in Minnesota it's not rare to rain in the winter...but usually not in January. This is the month we have our winter carnival, you know, ice sculptures, ice hockey games on the lake, they had to give up the hockey because of about 3" of rain on the ice, it was not a pretty sight! Walking around here get's to be a real challenge in the parking lot's at the stores. So far this season has been really bad for the whole world, so Minnesota weather isn't so bad compared to Haiti and California's weather. People laugh at our snow season but the worst we get up north here is snow and tornado's, not that tornado's aren't bad, we do get great warnings from the weather centers so we can prepare for the worst. Everyone say your prayers for Haiti, I can't imagine how horrible it is for them.

SUNDAY IN HUGO,MN.

This is my daughters house, and horses. This has been her dream for many years, and now here it is, her Ranch with horses. I had to show you a picture of my husband with the horses, he visits them before he goes into the house.hmmmm, He must get a better greeting from them than he does coming home.We have been together 38 years and I still find out new things about him, like really loving those horses, and riding the tractor out there. I'm sure if we lived closer he would be there everyday. He brings the horses big candy mints, they know who loves them. Everyone had a great time out there on Christmas Eve, they had a big fire in the fire pit, you can see that picture on my blog page.  Til next time have a safe 2010.

1950 FORD

This is the main project around our house for about a year now. It's something my Bob has always wanted to do, restore an old 1950 Ford. It's looking really good here, but it needs a new motor, he finally got one that works after trying 4 of them. He wants everything original...Do you know how hard that can be finding a 60 year old engine that works?  There is a plus with this, he has had lot's of friends over checking things out. And it has taken many cases of beer (for visitors) to keep things going. Bob has decided he would never do this again, he would buy one all finished. I can't wait for a ride, also it will be nice when I don't hear that we can't get that because I have to buy Ford parts. It has been interesting and mind bending for Bob. He says "I only hope to drive it before I die" He can be sooo negative sometimes, that's my Bob!!!

THE GOOD OLD DAYS

  THE OTHER DAY SOME OF (US OLDER WOMEN)  WERE TALKING ABOUT THINGS LIKE WRINGER WASHERS, GREEN STAMPS, WASH CLOTHES IN SOAP BOXES, THE KIDS AROUND US HAD NO IDEA WHAT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT. THINGS HAVE GOTTEN SO MUCH BETTER FOR THE AVERAGE PERSON COMPARED TO WAY BACK WHEN, BUT WAY BACK WE REALLY THOUGHT IT WAS THE WAY IT WAS. I SUPPOSE SOMEDAY THEY WILL BE TALKING LIKE US. IT DOESN'T SEEM POSSIBLE THAT IN THE FUTURE THERE WILL SO MUCH MORE IN TECHNOLIGY AND WAYS TO DO EVERYTHING EASIER AND FASTER. CAN YOU IMAGINE A TEEN IN THIS DAY ONLY GETTING A SHOWER ONCE A WEEK UNLESS YOU GET REALLY DIRTY, OR SHARING THE SAME BATH WATER WITH YOUR SIBLINGS, WELL THAT IS THE GOOD OLD DAYS, BUT I SURE LIKE THESE DAYS MUCH MORE. I ONLY HOPE THE NEW GENERATION CAN APPRECIATE HOW GOOD IT IS NOW. ANY   C OMMENTS FROM ANYONE ON THIS SUBJECT? I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR THEM.

CHRISTMAS EVE

CHRISTMAS WAS GREAT!!!

After worrying so much about spending Christmas Eve without my family, it turned out great! We left at noon and the roads were clear as ever. God bless the DNR they do such a wonderful job. We had fun and ate really well, Some of the family went out to have a snowball fight and build a fire in the fire pit, it was beautiful with the huge fire and big snowflakes falling. Christmas Day was a nice peaceful day doing nothing. Next is New Years Eve, that will also be very quiet around here, our party days are long over with.

TRAVEL??? PROBABLY NOT IN MINNESOTA

Here it is, one day before Christmas eve and the weather is getting bad already. I think everyone here is trying to decide should we keep our plans or just decide that this Christmas we won't all be together on Christmas Eve. I'm sitting here writing and getting very sad. This will be the first Christmas Eve that we haven't been together. So I'm hoping the weather guys are wrong again. This year will be the first time in many years that we will not be hosting on Christmas Eve. My daughter just bought a new bigger house and wanted to have it there, I was very excited about this new plan, but I don't think it will happen for us, we are 47 miles from her and in a beastly snow storm it won't be safe, so we will play it by ear and wait and see. I will update about all this when we know how the weather treats us.

I have been reading lot's of Blogs lately and there are some really great one's out there. I tend to like the foody ones but I also have some I like that are very helpful. JINGLE ALL THE WAY

Jingle all the way home with only jingling change in your pocket after a day shopping for Christmas, but I am missing the snow, yes I said snow! Lot's of people don't want it yet (or never) I love it, that's why I love Minnesota, great changing seasons. There is a problem about the Holiday's though....THE FATTENING WONDERFUL FOOD! I will start baking and eating and baking, my husband is now the Rosette Maker in this house, something I never dreamed he would do. One less thing for me to do so you rock Bob! And they are very tasty. The tree goes up tomorrow, and that makes it all real. If I could I would leave the tree up always because I love sitting at night here with the only light is coming from the tree. I'm wishing everyone a great and Happy Holiday...Peace be with you all.
