Everything is Beautiful

Now that Summer is finally here and the plants are growing strong, it's great to just sit around and enjoy them...Except the weeds are growing great also. I have been busy watching my great grandson for 3 weeks and we spend most of the days outside. He is 3 years old and very busy which is probably the reason I lost 6#. Now I think if he stayed for a few more months I could be looking pretty good. Our Raspberries look like we should have lot's of them, they were planted last year, I hope to make more Jam, thanks to my grand daughter who gave the plants to us. We have relations here now from Texas, they think they need sweaters here.And  I went to the Farmer's Market today, it's so nice to see all of  the fresh organic veggies.

This is pictures of my husband and 2 great grandsons with their horses, yes my husband Bob is really into riding now that he has his own horse. And it's true he talks more to her than me, I think it's because there is no back talk.These horses are all out to my daughters farm, and it's about 44 miles from us and with gas prices so high he doesn't get out there as much as he would like. Now that all the plants are planted all he has to do is mow the lawn that gives him more time for riding. Bob bought me a new weed whacker, cordless, self feed, the old one was always stopping to re feed the cord, what a pain and the cord had to be so long it was always tangled with something in in the yard. Minnesota

Here I sit complaining about a rainy day, and then I see on the news how bad the floods are as the great Mississippi goes South through all the State and floods everyone out. I can't imagine having that happen to my home. I guess I will just relax and wait for a nice sunny day to do some planting. I started some Seeds inside and they are growing really fast. Yesterday I baked 4 loaves of Rhubarb Bread, it turned out very good and yummy.
We found out our Apple Trees have some kind of black rot, so we have never had a season with good Apples. We just may cut them down. I hope my Pear Trees don't end up that way. Well back to doing nothing and I do that really good.

A Great May Day

May 1st. a day we will all remember as the day we won in finally bringing down Bin Laden, it will not bring back all the losses he made for so many Americans, but it's a start.
There are still so many of his followers out there we will be on guard in keeping our Nation safe. Now is the time to say prayers to our God  to keep our Armed Forces safe.

It's really ugly out there

The snow is almost gone the grass under the snow is so ugly from a few left over leaves and all the snow mashing down the lawn.I see a few trees that are trying very hard to bud out, the days go from 30 to 60 degrees and that will go on for a while now because that's the way it is in Mn.
We planted Raspberry Plants last year and I'm anxious to see if they made it through the Winter.Just thinking about them makes me hungry for Raspberry Desserts. Our Pear trees are still small but look like they survived the weather.
Clematis is one of my favorite climbing flowers, we have white, pink, and purple. Now the purple ones get very big and thick so I try to keep them on our side of the Trellis but they sneak over to the other side for the neighbors to enjoy.

OUR CRAZY WORLD

JUST A FEW WORDS ON OUR WORLD TODAY, EGYPT IS STANDING UP FOR THEMSELVES AND PEOPLE ARE GETTING HURT. THEY NEED OUR PRAYERS FOR A PEACEFUL END. LAST NIGHT I HEARD 39 OFFICERS QUIT IN NORTHERN MEXICO BECAUSE OF THE HORRIBLE MURDERS OF THEIR COMRADES LET'S ALL PRAY THAT THIS ALL COMES TO A END SOON.

YES, I MADE IT ANOTHER YEAR!

I GUESS I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD MAKE IT TO THIS AGE, BUT HERE I AM 69 AND HOLDING, NOW WHAT IS IN STORE FOR THIS YEAR? RIGHT NOW LOOKING OUT THE WINDOW IT DON'T LOOK TOO PROSPEROUS WITH ALL THE SNOW. THIS LAST YEAR WE HAD A ADDITION TO OUR FAMILY, A NEW BABY GIRL, THE 6TH GREAT GRAND BABY! WE ARE SO BLESSED WITH LOT'S OF GRAND KIDS. WE HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE TO HAVE MOST OF THEM HERE IN MN. TO ENJOY OR GET TO GO ON VACATION TO VISIT. HAD A REALLY NICE NEW YEARS EVE WITH GOOD FRIENDS, BUT HOME BY 9PM. WATCHED THE BALL DROP AT 11PM OUR TIME AND NASHVILLE AT OUR TIME. I'M HOPING THIS NEW YEAR IS BETTER FOR EVERYONE THAT'S HAD A ROUGH 2010.

MORE SILLY FACES

WELL HERE WE GO AGAIN, MORE OF MY FAMILY THAT DOESN'T SEEM TO WANT TO TAKE A NORMAL PICTURE. I'M STARTING TO NOTICE THAT THESE FACES ARE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME KIDS DOING IT. THEY HAVEN'T ASKED ME TO QUIT SO THAT'S JUST FINE WITH ME, IT SHOWS US ALL THEY HAVE FUNNY PERSONALITIES. YES, THESE ARE THE JOKESTERS ALRIGHT. THIS IS WHAT MAKES FAMILIES KIND OF DIFFERENT AND I LOVE IT! I'M SURE I WILL FIND MORE OF THESE FOR A LATER POST.

MY OLD MAN AND A HORSE

YOU CAN LIVE WITH A PERSON A VERY LONG TIME AND NEVER REALLY KNOW THEM.
THIS I KNOW FOR SURE BECAUSE OF MY HUSBAND BOB. IN THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS I HAVE LEARNED HE DID FARMING AS A KID WITH HIS UNCLE AND NOW HE'S INTO HORSE BACK RIDING. I RODE AS A TEEN BUT TOO MANY BAD THINGS WOULD HAPPEN, HORSE KICKING, RUNNING AWAY WITH ME AND DUMPING ME OFF SO I GAVE IT UP. WELL ANYWAY THESE NEW THINGS ABOUT BOB ARE CRACKING US ALL UP, BOB IS A MAN OF VERY FEW WORDS SO WHEN NEW STUFF CAME OUT ABOUT HIM, MY GRAN DAUGHTER SAYS WELL..MAYBE HE'S BEEN WITH THE WITNESS PROTECTION PLAN AND FOUND OUT IT'S SAFE NOW. MY FAMILY DOES COME UP WITH SOME FUNNY STUFF, IT'S BOB'S BIRTHDAY TOMORROW AND HE'S GOING FOR THE DAY RIDING WITH OUR DAUGHTER AND FRIEND, OUR DAUGHTER HAS HORSES SO THAT'S HOW IT ALL GOT STARTED. BORING!

I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY! I DON'T FEEL AS THOUGH I HAVE A VERY BORING LIFE BUT THERE IS NOTHING I CAN PUT OUT THERE FOR THE WORLD TO SEE. LATELY I'VE BEEN THINKING I COULD BE A TV PROGRAM RATER BECAUSE I HAVE A REALLY BAD KNEE RIGHT NOW AND MOSTLY SIT IN FRONT OF THE TV BECAUSE IT HURTS TO BE ON MY FEET TOO LONG. THOSE NICE PERCOSET PILLS ARE A LIFE SAVER. THE FALL LINE UP FOR TV SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD BUT SO MANY COPY CAT SHOWS, ONE GOOD ONE COMES OUT AND EVERYONE TRIES TO TOP IT. HAVE YOU NOTICED ALL THE COP SHOWS? I LOVE THEM BUT COME ON LETS GET SOME VARIETY PEOPLE...NEW IDEAS....START UP A NEW SHOW FOR EVERYONE TO COPY NEXT YEAR. WELL...BACK TO THE TV AND MY GAMES. EVERYONE HAVE A SAFE AND FUN DAY.

FUN WEEK

THIS IS ONE OF THOSE WEEKS I LOVE IN THE SUMMER, IT'S BUSY AND GATHERINGS WITH FAMILY COMPLETES MY SUMMERS. THIS WEEK WE HAVE FAMILY IN FROM OHIO, COLORADO TEXAS AND NEW YORK. AND THE BEST OF ALL A NEW BABY IN THE FAMILY. ANOTHER NIECE, HANNAH. WE WILL BE SURROUNDED WITH LOT'S OF OTHER KIDS TOO. A POT LUCK IS THE MEAL FOR THE DAY, ALWAYS GOOD AND MORE THAN LIKELY FATTENING. SEPTEMBER IS OUR MONTH FOR TRAVEL, WE ARE GOING TO TEXAS AND MISSISSIPPI HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE COOLER THERE BY THEN, WE SHALL SEE. AND WHAT ARE ALL OF YOU DOING THIS SUMMER?

IS IT JUST ME???

I DON'T HAVE TO GO TO THE DR. VERY OFTEN BUT IT SEEMS WHEN I DO GO SOME THING ALWAYS GOES WRONG, NOW MY HUSBAND GOES, GET'S THERE REALLY EARLY AND HE'S HOME BEFORE HIS APPOINTMENT TIME. LAST WEEK I WENT AND THE COMPUTERS BROKE DOWN AND THAT MEANS EVERYONE IS AT A LOSS. IT SEEMS NONE OF THE NURSES KNOW YOUR WAITING SO WE ALL JUST SIT THERE. NOW YESTERDAY I HAD TO GO FOR A MRI AND WOULDN'T YOU KNOW THEY HAD SOME EMERGENCIES AND WERE RUNNING LATE. I GUESS I'M HAPPY I'M RETIRED AND DON'T HAVE ANYWHERE ELSE TO GO IN A HURRY.I'M STARTING TO THINK THEY PLAN IT THAT WAY JUST FOR ME. PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE THEY SAY....WHOM EVER THEY ARE.

GREAT WEEKEND!!

VERY BUSY WEEKEND, BUT FUN. WE DROVE TO SIOUX FALLS FOR MY GRAND DAUGHTERS BABY SHOWER, SHE GOT GREAT GIFTS, THEN THE NEXT MORNING TO DULUTH, WHICH IS LIKE ACROSS THE WHOLE STATE OF MINNESOTA. I'M NOT THE BEST CAR TRAVELER BUT I TEND TO DOZE OFF A LOT SO THE TIME GOES FASTER. AFTER THE GRADUATION WE WENT TO THE CASINO (MY FAVORITE THING TO DO) BUT NOT MY HUSBANDS. I HAD A REALLY HOT MACHINE AND LEFT WITH $102.00. NOW THAT USUALLY DOESN'T HAPPEN FOR ME SO IT WAS NICE TO GO HOME WITH EXTRA CASH. I'M STILL WAITING FOR A BIG JACK POT! WELL THAT WAS A GOOD WEEKEND BUT IT SEEMS YOU CAN GET TIRED DOING VERY LITTLE. SO HOW WAS YOUR WEEKEND?

RODEO SUNDAY

TODAY WE WENT TO A RODEO, AN ALL STATE SCHOOL RODEO. THIS WAS ALL HIGH SCHOOL  TEENS ACROSS MINN. THEY WERE SO GOOD! GALS AND GUYS DOING ROPING, BARREL RACES, BRONCO RIDING AND BULL RIDING. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED AT THE TALENT AND ALL THE OTHER THINGS THEY DO BESIDES THE RODEO. IT'S SO NICE TO SEE THE GREAT THINGS THAT OUR KIDS ARE DOING. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK ALL OF YOU IN MINN, AND AROUND THE US!

TOO MUCH TIME

IT'S EITHER ALL OR NOTHING THESE DAYS, HAD FAMILY FROM MS. AND SO.DAK. PICNIC GATHERING, EATING OUT AND LOT'S OF VISITING. THEN THEY ALL LEAVE AND IT'S TOO QUIET. ALSO MY 2 YR OLD GREAT GRANDSON THAT I HAVE BABYSAT FOR SINCE BIRTH HAD TO MOVE TO TEXAS. SO IT WILL BE CALM AROUND HERE UNTIL MY 2 OTHER GREAT GRANDSONS CAN VISIT WHEN SCHOOL IS OUT.  HAVEN'T HAD THEM HERE FOR QUITE A WHILE. TIME GOES SO FAST AS YOU GET OLDER, JUST WHEN YOU WOULD LIKE IT TO SLOW DOWN A TAD. I'M THINKING ALL THE WEEDS WE HAVE SHOULD KEEP ME BUSY FOR A WHILE....SO HOW IS YOUR WEEK?
